A sneak peak of Window 8 features

Window 7 has made a huge improvement from the not-so-well-received Vista. I really find Window 7 is heading the right direction in terms of the functionality and the usability that results a major outcry from the Vista users. Today, Engadget has showed some of the new features of Window 8

In the article, there are couple interesting directions that Microsoft is heading toward in its next OS release:

  1. Kinect-style user interaction will be adopted in some way or another.
  2. Adopting Apple’s virtuous cycle” of brand loyalty, and Microsoft wants consumers to think of Windows 8 as being just as uncomplicated and high quality.
  3. Facial Detection -startup feature. The idea is to improve startup and wake-from-sleep times to be nearly instantaneous
  4. Window Store
