A sign of relief, for now

After 4 weeks of madness, our group has finally finished phase 2 of Spatial Design, which asks us to study an assigned architecture that requires physical and digital modelling, as well as extensive research of the architect in order to explain his/her significance.

Chapel of St.Ignatius by Steven Holl is the architecture of our choice. Ironically, our group has set our hearts on this before we were told this is one of the most challenging architectures that we are given. As a group, we decide to take on this challenge because we strongly believe that we can succeed with all the talents on the team.

The learning process is so rewarding that I can’t put it into words. Was the process fun. Yes! Was sleep an option? No! Was there a point we want to quit? Yes! But, we, as a group, know that our work represent us. Our work represents quality, substance, and excellence. As soon as we realize that, we go back at it and work even harder.

I would like to share our hard work with you. A sample of our physical and digital model are uploaded to my flickr account. A sample of presentation slides is also included.

Enjoy!

Again, I would like to thank my team for being patience with each other and produce such high quality work.
